Sphynx Malinx - Cute Sphynx Outfits
Sphynx skin is temperature sensitive and allowing them out in the sun, will cause sunburn. To protect my Sphynxies, I have a number of custom made outfits to keep them warm in winter. But we also have Sphynx sun suits to ensure that their skin stays protected when we are out on adventures!
Sphynx just LOVE adventures and nothing beats exploring the great outdoors with your favourite hairless feline! But dangers lurk around every corner and it is best to ensure that your little explorer is safely strapped into a harness whenever adventure calls. These harnesses make any trip a little bit safer - grandma's house, the vet, or your favourite pet shop for snacks! Strap in and keep safe out there!
Grooming your Sphynx is a weekly ritual that will ensure that your beloved companion stays in tip-top health! Although I don't recommend frequent baths, I do recommend Wampum no-rinse shampoo for cleaning nail beds, tooth spray for healthy teeth and soothing skin spray for minor skin irritations. And when the time does come for that Sphynx bath, Wampum conditioning shampoo is my go-to!

Your Sphynx is an active little feline as they are a super high energy breed. To make sure that your darling Sphynx is entertained day and night and has a way to burn off all of those mid-day snacks, I recommend getting a cat wheel. The Awesome Cat Wheel is large enough to ensure that your Sphynx does not damage their spine, durable, easy to clean and will provide you and your Sphynx with hours of fun.
If there is one thing that your Sphynx needs, the cure-all to many feline behavioral issues and the number one activity in their lives, it is more playtime! Playing with your Sphynx is not only fun, but it is a great way to bond, relieves stress and is the first place to start whenever your Sphynx misbehaves. Hands are NOT toys, so make sure that you have more than enough toys of every type to keep your Sphynx occupied.
Most cats are naturally drawn to cardboard - Sphynx are no different! I have more of these scratchers around my house than I care to admit, but my Sphynx crew just LOVE them. Ample scratch space is essential for your Sphynx's wellbeing, but they also act as scent markers for the scent glands between your Sphynx's toe beans. Scent marking ensures that your Sphynx feels safe and secure in their home.
Because Sphynx can be prone to acne and blackheads, I always recommend a ceramic or stainless steel bowl to help prevent feline acne! Blackheads can be super painful for your Sphynx, especially if they get infected, so I recommend steering clear of any plastic food and water bowls to help your Sphynx prevent a breakout. Any ceramic or stainless bowl or plate will do, but I like these.
Wolfpack - Pet beds, blankets and soft furnishings
Sphynx LOVE soft, warm blankies and cozy places to lay down. Soft furnishings, pillows, beds and blankets also act as scent-soakers - allowing your Sphynx's unique scent to be present in every corner of your home, signifying their ownership of the space, and in turn helping them feel more safe and secure in their own home. I recommend Wolfpack for pretty, durable surfaces to scatter all around!
Cats are obligate carnivores - which means that they need to eat meat to survive. Therefore, we feed a balanced raw meal as the largest portion of our cats' food and treats. Feeding raw does not work for every family, so we do teach our Sphynx kittens to eat Hills as well. However, we do encourage you to feed a good quality, balanced raw food as at least a portion of your Sphynx's daily meals for optimum health.
In our search for the perfect kitty litter to use for our Sphynx clan, we have tried a long list of options and this is our current favourite! This litter is free of smells and very low dust, so it is easy on sensitive noses. It clumps well and is easy to clean, soft to step on and above all, is safe if a kitty does decide to sample a little bit of their litter. We use both the green and red packs, as we have quite a number of Sphynxies running around.
